Can't access work email from home

I changed jobs recently & I have been given an outlook email. At home I use
Yahoooo.
I have recieved 2 seperate ways to connect and as yet have been unsucessful
in my attempts. I have no prior experience with outlook. On my job they just
keep repeating the same thing " just type in 00.0.0.000 or www.address.com. I
have verified my information many MANY times and have been told repeatedly
that this is all I have to do. No other instructions have been given and I
have asked if I need anything on my system (like outlook for instance) and
have been assured that this is not the case and my internet connection is all
I require. I have Outlook Express 6 on my pc but have never used it. Any
assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated and thank you in
advance.

At work, what type of account do you have? Are you using Exchange or does
your work have an ISP just as you use one at home? What version of Outlook?
