I have set up an FTP server in IIS5 in win2k. I have also
assign an public ip to the machine which orignally having
a private ip. A router was used to configure the NAT to
map the public ip to the private ip. There is also no
problem in ping / tracert to the new public ip assigned to
the machine.
Problem >> I can't make a connection to the ftp server (BY
WINFTP)or the web server (bROWSER).

What could be the possible problem and solution to it.
Pls advise

Can you be more specific?
You've changed IP address of your server, but did you move
it outside your router ? It seems to be routing issue if
you cant ping your ip address. More info about your
configuration ? post results from ipconfig /all.
