can't access printer properties from control panel

I tried to access a printer through the control panel to check some
properties. I received an error message that windows was shutting down the
application (control panel). According to the extra information available
the problem was with the printui.dll. My information on that driver shows it
is 547KB, created on 8/18/2001 and modified on 8/4/2004. This is on a
Windows XP Home with SP2.

What make and model of printer is this?

You might want to clean up the printer configuration as described at
http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/CleanPrinterDrivers.htm and add the printer
again, making sure you have a Windows XP version of the printer driver.
