I have several .cab files that I want to delete because my virus checker determined they may be unwanted. The are in C:\_restore\archive. However I can't delete these files as I get the message the disk might be write protected. When I try to change the atributes of the folders with the attrib command I get the access denied -*.* command. Any suggestions
Thanks
Mark

Try a Windows ME newsgroup. This one looks at Windows 2000
issues (which is radically different from Windows ME).

Hi Mark,

Look in the Help files for Creating a Restore
Point, do that and then ask someone in Windows
forum how to delete whatever you want to delete.
And remember this when the only way to get your
system back is use the Restore Point.

.

Turn off your System Restore feature, reboot, and the
files will be gone.
