Recently upgraded my outlook from 2002 ver. Deleted all my contacts and
email in the process (wasnt too happy about that). I rebuilt some of my
contacts but I can no longer access my contacts when sending emial. Any
ideas?

Thanks

Right click on your Contacts folder, choose Properties, go to the Outlook
Address Book tab and check the "Show this folder as an email address book"
box

Most likely is didn't. Sometimes upgrades create new PSTs, making it appear
that your data is gone, but it's probably there, still in the original PST.
If you examine the folder where your existing PST resides (the default is
%UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook), I'll be
you'll see another PST there. Enable viewing hidden files and folders,
then, in Outlook, click File>Open>Outlook Data File, browse to that folder,
select the other PST and click OK. My money is on that PST containing your
data.
