Canon S600

I have a 2 year old Canon S600 which has been a good reliable printer with
more than average useage. Two weeks ago I started to get banding and then
color problems with all prints coming out blue. I have changed out all the
cartridges and cleaned what I can but it is still not right and will not
align. Has anyone had any success changing out the printhead and how much
did it cost etc. I don't really want to trash the S600 because it has been a
good printer but I don't want to spend more fixing it than the price of a
new unit. Any help would be appreciated.

Is there a Canon driver update that we need, or did Norton wreck our printer
too?
