Canon BJC6100 - 7 beeps

I have a Canon BJC6100.
It stopped working a few days ago.
On start, it beeps 7 times. The user's guide says it indicates a problem
with the electric contacts behind the cartridges, that should be cleaned.
I've tried to clean them, but it doesn't work.
Has anyone an idea ?

From what I have read in this NG you may need to soak the head overnight to
get the clogged ink out. Be careful if there are any electronic components
in the cartridge...they must stay dry!
