Canon BJC-4300ex Lines or gaps through fonts

I having trouble with my Canon BJC-4300ex which has just
recently developed.

It use to work fine but for some reason it has started
printing with what looks like lined through it, but
actually it is missing part if the font.eem that each
stroke of the cartridge is too short or not complete and
is missing part of the stroke creating a gap which
appears like white lines through the font.

Any Suggestions

Time to replace the printhead I'm afraid.

If you just use the large black one, then it's just one unit. If you're
using the color and black separate tanks, you must replace the whole unit to
get a new printhead.... however it does come with new black and color
taniks.
