cannot write, reply or forward e-mails

outlook 2003- my new, reply, reply to all and forward icons are not
highlighted and will not let me click on them. I can not import or export my
address book also. This has been ongoing for about a month and I am pulling
out my hair , I have tried so many things. Please help.

Yes it had been working fine. This is a new(6 months old) Dell dim. 3100, it
wouldn't be that the microsoft office was just a trial and has run out.
