cannot view pictures received on e-mail

Hi all

Some e-mails I receive with pictures either embedded in the actual e-mail or
sent as an attachment don't show properly. Where the picture should be
displayed in the actual e-mail I see a white box with a red cross in the
corner but no picture. When it is sent as an attachment, it opens the usual
FAx and Picture Viewer but it says 'preview not available'.

It doesn't happen on all e-mails only some. Any idea what's causing this
problem?

THank you.

Hi, thank you for your reply.
It is Microsoft Exchange, not Outlook - apologies, my mistake. I don't know
what version because it is on my PC at home and I'm currently at work...not
much help.

Even if I save the attachment to the desktop, I still can't see them?

Thanks
Louise

As for the attachment issue; do these images work when downloaded to the
Desktop first? If so see;

So you are using Outlook Web Access through Internet Explorer then? You
might want to continue this in the exchange.clients newsgroup then as OWA is
part of Exchange, not Outlook.

we seem to have our wires crossed a little. I'm not using OWA, just Outlook
Express on a home computer. I'll re-post this on an Exchange site.

Thank you.
