Cannot turn off reminder

I have Outlook 2000. I cannot get rid of a reminder popup. When I dismiss
it, I get a message box that says:
"Cannot turn off reminder. You may be reminded again. The message you
specified cannot be found."
Rebooting doesn't help.

How can I get rid of this?

Start Outlook one time with the /cleanreminders switch.
Start->Run->outlook.exe /cleanreminders.
