Cannot stop Outlook 2003 from auto-running at start up

I cannot find any reference in the registry or in the Startup folder and
can't stop Outlook 2003 running every time I boot up. This is causing
problems due to network issues. Anyone know a way of stopping this? It seemed
to start after installing SP2.
 
Any applications installed that might be loading Outlook? Active Sync is one
that will run the Outlook process.
