Dear
I have by mistake modify my BiOS set up by restoring the defaults. As a
result I cannot start windows although I have try the Last Known Good
Configuration. The screen OS loader appears but it retuns back and I have a
message that it is a hardware/software modification that caused that. Please
help me. I am not a computer specialist.

Hi Lindsay,
Changing to the defaults in your BIOS shouldn't be a problem-unless you have
a special hard disk setup. Could you describe exactly what is happening?
When the machine starts does it go through the Bios checks then attempt to
load Windows at which point an error message displays. If so write down the
error when you see it and tell me exactly what it says.

What happen exactly:
When I power on my computer, I have a screen that tell me to choose between
Windows XP and Recovery Console. This is OK. I choose Win XP and then I get
another screen that tell me that Windows is not loaded successfully because
of a hardware/software modification. It continues: try the last known good
configuration or choose Start Windows normally. (the screen is similar to the
boot F8 screen). I have try the two options and in both cases when I press
enter the Windows loader screen appears. After that it retuns back to the
first screen ie OS choice (XP and recovery console) and it continues to go
like that.
I have try to start in the safe mode, unsuccessful. Excuse me my computer is
not in front me and I have try as far as possible to describe the problem.
