Cannot start up Windows.

Hello. I have a serious problem. I just recently installed a game on my
computer and after shutting it down, my desktop turned blue and an error
message appeared. Emails kept trying to send themselves out but my Norton
prevented it. I tried to Ctrl+Alt+Delete, but I got a message saying that the
administrator had disabled the feature. I am the administrator and I did not
disable anything. I had to restart my computer as I could not do anything.
Now, after typing in my password to start up windows, it stays frozen on my
desktop. No icons appear. It's just the picture. I have tried hitting F10,
F8, and have tried using my Norton Go Back feature. None of these will work.
It just simply takes me to the frozen screen. I have Windows XP and I do not
have an XP disc to restore my computer. My brand new computer did not come
with one. Can anyone help me, please? Thank you.

Seems that your game brought some unwelcome guests....it installed a virus,
worm or trojan.

if i was u, i will boot into safe mode. After that, i will scan virus and
scan spyware.

If u are more advance, may be you can go into registry to check what program
are in HKEY_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Run or RunOnce

Becareful edit the registry.

Or, you can try log-into safemode try the system restore.

Hope these are helping you.

The problem is, I cannot boot into safe mode. It will not let me. I figured I
had a virus because the game installed some sort of virus protector that I
had never heard of before. It just appeared on my desktop. Basically, it's
like my entire computer is frozen. I cannot get into it with any action that
I try. I can get as far as typing in my Windows password and that's it. No
safe mode, no Norton Go Back, nothing. It just will not let me. How can I get
rid of this virus?

Hi

On the same screen as Safe Mode, try 'Last Known Good Configuration'. If
that doesn't work, your PC supplier must have given you some way to
reinstall XP. Have a look through the documentation, or contact your PC
supplier for further help.
