cannot set up a dial-up internet connection

I have never had any probs until today with my XP! When I
try to use connection wizard it doesnt allow me to choose
dial-up modem connection. When i was checking around I
realized there is no dial-up adapter. I tried to reload
from XP CD but still does not show up. Where can I get the
dial-up adapter for XP and if any other
files/drivers/instructions I may need to set up an
Internet connection through modem? I couldnt find anything
when I search on microsofts support site but maybe I wasnt
looking for the rigth stuff.
