CANNOT SET SECURITY ON NETWORK

INSTALLED VISTA WENT WELL HOWEVER WHEN I SETUP MY NETWORK ROUTER (NETGEAR
WPNT834) AND MY USB CARD (NETGEAR WPNT121) I CANNOT SETUP UP MY NETWORK WITH
ANY SECURITY PREMISSIONS (VISTA ONLY ALLOWS OPEN ACCESS) IF I TRY TO SETUP
PREMISSIONS ON THE ROUTER VISTA WILL NOT ACKNOWLEDGE MY PASSPHARSE OR
PASSWORD. I HAVE TRIED SETTING IT MANUALLY AND WITH THE WIZARD BUT HAVE HAD
NO LUCK.

DOES ANYONE GOT ANY SUGGESTIONS ????? I REALLY DO NOT WANT TO LEAVE MY
NETWORK WIDE OPEN

Vista does allow the use of WPA protection on wireless connections, when you
setup your adapter to connect wirelessly, if your router is configured for
WPA, Vista will notify and ask for your passphrase then ask for you to retype
it for confirmation. Be patient, it's all new and it'll take you a while to
get around it. Just remember, use Microsofts reporting utility with every
little issue you encounter, the more we tell Microsoft, the better this OS
will be when it is publically released for commercial sale.

Unfortunately not in my case. Doesn't matter if I use WPA1 or 2. I'm using
TKIP. It asked me to put in the passphrase, I dutyfully did, then t says
it's the wrong one, do I want another go, well, yeah, why not...... ad
infinitum.

I've made sure I use the correct key, it does recognise wireless networks.

Yeah, I've got the same problem. I'm using WPA-Personal and it never likes
the key. Keeps saying invalid key! The same key works on this and the other
two XP Pro laptops - why not Vista???

Yeah, I have the same problem. My WPA key works on my router, this laptop
(XP Pro boot), and my other two XP Pro laptops. Vista Ultimate RC1 will not
accept the key!!!
