Cannot "send" Word document thru Windows Mail

Could send/e-mail word documents with Outlook Express, but cannot using
Windows Mail. I've updated default. What have I done/not done?
 
How are you trying to send it?
If you open WM, and attach the file to a message, it should send ok.

If you are trying to send from within Word, using the Email button, or
File - Send to.. Mail Recipient, those only work with Outlook.
You should be able to use File - Send To.. Mail Recipient (as attachment).
This will open the default email program, which is probably WM.
