Cannot Send/Rec

This is a strange one. If I reboot, I can send/Rec a single time with
Outlook. Following that, another attempt results in an immediate run-up in
the send/rec window to 11% and the network icon continues to flash on and off
at about .5 second intervals. Eventally the send/rec returns with erros for
all accounts indicating the POP server for all accounts could not be reached.
I am running Norton Internet Security 2005, and as always, first suspect
this as the source of the problem. Also, juut installed software for
Creative Sound Card. Appreciate some help on this one. Have high-speed
internet connection and wired LAN.

Can you try disabling incoming/outgoing mail scanning in Norton to see if
that helps?
