Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Subject 'FUTURE WARIOR', Account: 'mail.comcast.net', Server:
'smtp.comcast.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 587, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number:
0x800CCC0F
(This is the error that I get when I try to send mail. What can I do to
resolve this?I'm thinking about buying a MAC!)

sounds like you have the same problem as me.do you have to secure your
(ssl)go to tools ,accounts, then click properties and check the box saying
,Log on using secure password authentication.

No, Comcast does not use Secure Password Authentication.
However, "My server requires authentication" should be checked.
Those are two different settings. The first affects receiving, the second
affects sending.

Email scanning should be turned off in any anti-virus. Also exclude EML
files from the scan. It provides no protection not provided by the regular
resident protection.
Besides that, McAfee and Norton are not compatible with Windows Mail and
Outlook Express and should be uninstalled. The latest version of Trend's
anti-virus seems to be causing problems too.
