Cannot send mail when Cached Exchange Mode enabled

When I have Cached Exchange Mode enabled in my profile, all my mails ends up
in the Outbox. When I unable the Cached Exchange Mode, the mails will be
delivered. Any suggestion to fix this annoying problem?

Yes, Outlook is placed in On-Line Mode

What is really the meaning with Cached Exchange Mode? I've discovered that I
can read all my mail offline even if the Cached Exchange Mode is unable??? I
thought that was the idea with Cached Exchange Mode. Am I completely wrong?

I'm running Exchange Server 5.5

You can't read your mail offline? Than it sounds like you've got a damaged
ost-file. Delete it and have Outlook rebuilt it. There are some issues with
Outlook connecting to Exchange 5.5. Did you install all the updates/patches
on the server?
