Cannot see the bottom Task Bar on IE6

Windows XP Pro, IE 6 SP1: I cannot see the bottom IE task
bar that display page loading progress, url of links you
place your mouse over, and the SSL lock. It is my profile
specific - other users on this PC do have that task bar.

Is there a setting I accidentally flagged?

Thanks.

If you mean the status bar, you need to click on it in the View menu.
Here are directions from Shenan Stanley that I saved (and used) which
will make the status bar appear on all windows:

-- Close ALL explorer (Windows and Internet) windows.
-- Open ONE Windows Explorer window.. With "My Computer" or
"Windows Explorer" icon - however you normally and will continue
to do so.
-- Set it up the way you want using the "View" menu for "Thumbnails",
"Tiles", "Icons", "Lists" or "Details" and also
"Arrange Icons by.." in the "View" menu and make sure there is
a check mark next to "Status Bar" and if you wish.
-- THEN, using the "Tools" menu and selecting "Folder Options"
choose the options you want under the "General" tab, followed
by going under the "View" tab and checking or unchecking the
boxes accordingly there. Once you have finished checking them
the way you want, click on "Apply"(NOT "OK".) Then click on
the "Apply to All Folders" button and "Yes" to the pop-up window.
Then Click "OK".
-- Close the one and only Explorer window you had open.
-- Now open Internet Explorer(One - ONLY one - no other windows
opened or minimized.)
-- Select "View" and make sure "Staus Bar" has a check mark next to
it.
-- Close Internet Explorer.
-- Reboot.

That should setup your explorer windows anyway you want it and
propogate it
