Cannot see secondary hard drive

HELP!

I have installed a 80gb secordary hard disk on my Dell PC.

1. Bios has recognized it as the secondary drive

2. Device Manager has got the drive

3. BUT WINDOWS EXPLORER cannot see the drive.

Do I need to format the drive? If so, FORMAT D: is not doing anything.

I am confused. Please help. Please reply to group.

You need to format and partition the drive by opening
control panel and then administritive tools. Then click
on computer management, then select disk management and
away you go the rest should be self explanatory.
