Cannot see other computer in wireless home network

I'm running XP Pro and have installed wireless cards in my PC and
laptop. They seem to be communicating with excellent signal strength.
I've run the network setup wizard on each machine and setup a home
network called 'Mshome'. I've restarted both machines. In My network
places, there is a network called Mshome. When I try to view
workgroup computers, the only machine listed is the one I'm currently
using - I can't access the other one.

Can anyone help, please?

Disable the "Internet Connection Firewall."

To or disable Internet Connection Firewall:
Open Network Connections
Click the Dial-up, LAN or High-Speed Internet connection that you want to
protect, and then, under Network Tasks, click Change settings of this
connection.
On the Advanced tab, under Internet Connection Firewall, clear the
Protect my computer and network by limiting or preventing access to this
computer from the Internet check box.

The Internet connection firewall has been disabled. I have Norton
Internet security installed but have disabled that in the systray. I
have shared folders on each machine and log onto both with the same
username and password. On Fri, 24 Oct 2003 22:28:54 GMT, "Phil M."

Don't just disable NIS. Un-install it, too. That's the only way to
find out whether it's causing network problems. Don't re-install it
until everything is working.

If you're concerned about Internet hackers, disconnect from the
Internet while the firewall is un-installed.

Make sure that NetBIOS Over TCP/IP is enabled on all computers:

1. Open the Network Connections folder.
2. Right click the local area network connection and click Properties.
3. Double click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
4. Click Advanced.
5. Click WINS.
6. Click the Enable NetBIOS Over TCP/IP button.
