Welcome to the club! I looked at the Properties of your post in Outlook
Express, and saw that you are not using OE. Using OE will solve the problem.
I know that there used to be a decent Search function on your version of the
forum, but I have come to believe that it has been disabled for some time.
Outlok Express has an excellent search function: Edit/Find/Message.
Get set up in OE now!

-When it asks for your name, give a SCREEN NAME you want to use. You can set
up several accounts later(under Tools), with different names if you want.
-When it asks for your email, give a FAKE EMAIL you want to post on this
forum.
-When it asks the name of (I think) the server, type in:
"msnews.microsoft.com."

Then, it asks if you want to see the news groups.
A giant list loads. Almost at the bottom, are the Windows XP forums.
Click to highlight a forum, then click the confirmation button, repeat for
all the forums you want.
The only problem with OE, as powerful and civilized as it is (you can even
change fonts), is that the various functions took me an hour to figure out.
