cannot search AD fro XP pro

Hi, I have setup a new win2000 domain. For winxp pro, click the network
neighbour, I can not see the directory icon. For win 2000 pro, click the
network neighbour, i can see the directory service icon, double click it,
and select the domain and right click to search. My problem is " I can not
using the active directory service in winxp Pro, who can explain the
different ?"

The ability to browse the AD directly form Network Places has been removed
from Windows XP.
This has been discussed at some length before - but Browsing is a security
risk, user should know what they are looking for and if so then a Search
function is the fastest way to find those resources that they are seeking.
The ability to search the AD is fully functional, on Start ... Search
