Cannot repair / losing data after repair

Hi there,
We recently had a PC shutdown unexpectedly. Now, when trying to open
directly in Access, I get the following message:

"The db (...) needs to be repaired or isn't a database file. ... Do you want
to repair."

I then say YES, and get an error saying "Not a valid password"

This db is password protected. I download JetComp.exe to try and fix this
problem, but after "fixing" too much data is lost, and even some tables are
deleted. Does anyone else have another solution for me, please.

I'm hoping you did this on a copy of the file. If so,

1) Using the original file, try creating a new file and importing everything
into it.

2) Restore from a backup file.

Did you try the page specifically meant for invalid password troubles?
