Cannot remove xxxtoolbar.

In add and remove programs I have a reference to "xxxtoolbar" When I click
on remove it just flashes but does not delete, there is no date or file size
against it.. Any way to rid myself of it ?

Have you tried removing it while in Safe Mode? Just a thought.

Try Adaware or Hijackthis. It's dedicated software for this kind of stuff.

I got rid of it in Safe Mode as suggested by Heather. I have Adaware which I
run twice a day but it had not found it.
