cannot publish at all

I just got a domain name and web hosting which supports MSfront page. the
only problem is my MSfront page is not allowing me to publish to the web, the
option is in the menu but it is unavalable to use? is there some setting or
function that I am missing

Do you have your web open when trying to publish? You can't publish if your
web isn't opened in FP first.

Do you have a web open, not just a page?
Are you using File | Publish Site and entering the correct path
(http://www.mydomain.com)?
Has your domain actually propogated throughout the internet? Sometimes
takes 2 or 3 days.
