Cannot password protect

I created a spreadsheet and am trying to set a password to
open the document. When I click on "Save As" and try to
access the "Tools" menu option it is not available.

I have done this before. Once I select Tools, then I
select General Options and key in a password to open.

Why isn't "Tools" available on the "Save As" dialog box?

Thanks for the help...
 
Is it greyed out - You may well have the workbook in shared mode.
 
If you haven't already figured this out, you can password
protect the sheet before you save it as long as you have
full control of the document and it is not labeled as a
READ ONLY in the properties.
