Hi--

I have FP2000 on Win XP. Clicking File/open web throws this error:

"Some of the files that meet the search criteria may be missing from the
list. Not enough memory available to complete the operation. Close other
programs to make more memory available, and then try again"

The LOOK IN field has "Web Folders" in it, but nothing is listed.

I click OK to close the error dialog then type http://whatever... in the
folder name field, ant it says
"The folder http://whatever isn't accessible. The folder may be located on
an unavailable volume or protected with a password."

The same site opens fine from File/Recent Webs.

Your help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Dennis

Have you tried the usual repairs in the sequence below:
1) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all FP Temp Files
Usually in C:\WINDOWS\Temp and %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp
- in FP 2003 you need to look in the super hidden folder
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\FrontPageTempDir
2) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all hidden *.web files
Usually in %USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Web Server Extensions\Cache
3) Run a Repair on IE
(see http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=318378 )
4) Install all Service Packs for your OS, IE, MS Office and your Video card
(Windows Update and Office Update sites, plus your video card supplier site)
5) Open FP and Disable or Uninstall any FP Addins,
6) Open your FP Web/Site and run a Tools Recalculate Hyperlinks

Thanks for your suggestions. I have tried everything except repairing IE
and a video driver update (should have thought about that myself). Will try
it and let you know.

Thanks,

Dennis
