cannot open pst. file

Hello...I saved a back-up pst. file of about 1,500 emails...then changed over
to an exchange server. Imported the emails back in. I can click on the old
emails but not read the message. I cannot open it until It download the full
email. What am I doing wrong.

Thanks,

Katt

Importing often causes problems. Since you now have an Exchange mailbox, what
you should do is add the PST as a personal folder to your mailbox (it will
show up at the bottom) by using the mail applet in the control panel. You'll
see there is an option to add Personal Folders to your mailbox, then simply
browse to your PST file to add it.

This will also keep them separate but let you open them.

Hi Kathleen,

I have imported them into my email box...but when I try to open the message
it says I need to download it completly.

Any other suggestions?

Thank You for replying.

Do you have the pst on your computer? Open it using File, Open, outlook data
file instead.

It sounds like you are using cached mode, headers only. Does new mail
download completely?
