Cannot open one specific word document.

There is one specific word2000 document I cannot open. It shows "requesting
virus scan" indefinitely and nothing happens.

All the other word2000 documents open normally.
What can I do?

Use your Antivirus program to run a scan on the document or in the directory
where it is located. It may clean the file, but its not guaranteed. If that
does not work, download the Word 2000 Viewer and open it in their.
