When trying to remove some programs I do not need or use, I receive a
message stating "Cannot Open INSTALL LOG.File". The KB says there is a known
problem and they will post information on it when they have a solution ~~~
anyone have suggestions?

This happens if the instalaltion/uninstallation log file is missing, so the
program's uninstaller does not know how to remove that particular program.
Best way to solve this is to reinstall the program in the same location (so
that the log file is created), and then use the Add/Remove Programs to
uninstall it.

Are you referring to re-installing the Windows Installer package or the
program which I cannot remove? This is the message I recieve when trying to
uninstall:
File "C:\Program files\softnyx\unins000.dat" does not exist. Cannot
uninstall.

Reinstalling the program.
