Cannot open Access database through Frontpage

Hello,

I have a website that I administerate through frontPage. This website
contains an access databse .mdb file.

I must also mention that this database is located on an internet web server.

When I want to edit the database or open it up I usully fire up frontPage,
find the database file, then double click it. Usually Acccess will open
locally on my machine and I am able to manipulate my database.

I am now trying to do the same thing from a different PC and I am getting
the error "Microsoft Access cannot open this file.
This file is located outside your intranet or on an untrusted site" I don't
know why it is telling me something I already know, but more importantly I
cannot get onto my file anymore. I have tried many things, such as adding
the site to trusted sites etc etc etc and nothings seems to help. Does
anyone know what is up here?

Thank YOU!

Craig

I have 2 ideas for you try... Are you certain that the version of
Access on the new machine is the same version your database was written
in? (Though I really think you'd get a much different error message if
this were the problem) Also since you are on new machine have you
adjusted the securities in Access itself?

Just some ideas...

Hi Dawn,

Thank you very much for your response to my question. What are the security
settings I should tweak in access?

Thanks!

The issue appears to have been a version conflict.

I Matched the version of access with the previous configuration and the user
was able to connect.

Thank you.
