cannot log in after upgrade from win2k

I recently upgraded a win2k pro machine to XP pro. It
used to be a member of a domain, and now I wanted it not
to be, so I made that choice during the installation
process.

Now the machine boots correctly, but asks me for a
password. I have entered tha password that used to be
used with the domain login, but it ( and all other
attempts including nothing) fail.

Any suggestions on how to recover from this situation?

Doug,

This machine is now in a workgroup and you should use the local
administrator password not any sort of domain credentials.
