Cannot kill folders

I had to perform a reinstall of Windows XP Home, and had to go through the
process of reinstalling all my programs. All folders show up with the read
only check box grayed out, but checked. Everything works fine, except here
is one folder I cannot access or delete. It holds some games I had installed
and occupies over a gig of hdd space. The subfolders, however, show up as 0
file size. The files are still in there, I just can't access them or delete
them.

I have spent two days going all over the support center, but can't seem to
find anything that works. I have tried CMD, attrib -r, at least 20 times.
No luck.

Can someone please help me get access to these, or at least get them deleted?

thx

Keep having fun.
