I have installed Windows 2000 Professional (new
installation), when I tried to join an existing Windows
NT 4 domain I get error message "The specified domain
either does not exist or could not be contacted".

Can any one help fixing this problem, please.

Thanks.

Make sure you have NetBIOS over tcp/ip enabled for the connection. If the
domain controller is also a wins server make sure you told Windows 2000 the
wins server ip address.
