Cannot join a new Vista Business HP computer to a SBS domain

I have bought a new HP Vista Business PC for my office and am trying to join
it to the domain on our SBS2003 Server. I have already created an account for
the PC on the SBS Server. The user has a valid account that she already uses
on her old XP Pro machine.

However, when I try to join the domain I get the message "An attempt to
resolve the DNS name of a DC in the domain being joined has failed. Please
verify this client is configured to reach a DNS server that can resolve DNS
names in the target domain".

I can ping the DC with no problem. When I browse I can see the SBS Server
machine, but when I try and get to any of the shares I get the message "...is
not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource.
Access is denied".

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. TIA !!

Have you setup a static IP Address and DNS on the client machine? Are you
attempting to join the Domain from a Administrator or Limited user account?
Which method did you use to join the Domain, Network ID wizard or the
Computer Name/Domain Changes dialog on the System Properties dialog.

Also, make sure the Primary DNS suffix of this computer: matches the server.
