cannot install

Howdy

I am trying to install a piece of software that is telling
my local policy's will not allow it to install from the
cd. But I can install if I copy to a folder on the local
machine. What policy would do this?

There are settings in Group Policy to prevent access to certain drives that may be
enabled. Look under user configuration/administrative templates/Windows
components/Windows Explorer to see if any restrictions are in place. If everything
appears to be undefined, then try to disable settings to hide or disable drives. If
this is a domain computer, there may be domain policy applying that restriction. ---
