cannot install xp service pak 1

When installing service pak 1 for xp, I get a message
that the software I'm using is not compatible with the
service pak - even though I use xp pro.

Any ideas?

Hi Travis,

The message means that some software that is installed and running on your
machine is not compatible with the Service Pack. Hit ctrl+shift+escape and
disable all running programs and elements of your antivirus program (from
the processes tab).
