Cannot install Vista

If I try from XP SP2 Vista asks for license then goes to next screen and says
not a valid windows image file. If I try doing a cold install after putting
in license number ger " Setup failed to open the Windows image file."
donloaded Vista twice both ISOs to two DVDs and get same response.

The error message you received
indicates some kind of file copy problem. This could be attributed to an I/O
error, a bad DVD burn, or bad download of the ISO. If you experience this
problem again, we recommend redownloading the ISO and/or reburning the DVD
at the slowest possible speed. If that does not solve this problem, you
might try virtual DVD software (available on the internet) or copying all
the setup files to a flat share and then running setup from there."

You may as well want to CRC check your downloaded ISO before redownloading
it. If the CRC check indicates a "good" download, try reburning at the
slowest speed possible. If the CRC check indicates a corrupt image,
redownload and then reburn @slowest speed.
