Cannot install software over the network

Hi I have a dell latitude D820 laptop with windoxs xp. I cannot install
software from the network share. It gives me a "the path does not exist
error". I have tested it on another laptop and desktop with no hassle. Could
there possibly be some sort of registry error I should look at?
