cannot install QuickTime

When I try to install QuickTime I get an error message:error1316 network
error occurred while attempting to read from the file
C:\WINDOWS\Installer\QuickTime.msi What does this mean?
 
Hi flynny58,

First, remove Quicktime via Add/Remove Programs applet in Control Panel if
it appears there. Next, d/load and run the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility,
select Quicktime from the list of installed programs so that it is the only
item selected, then choose Remove and then OK.

When finished with the Cleanup utility, restart and try installing Quicktime.
