Hello everyone,

I've got a problem that's driving me nuts. I'm trying to
install a Panasonic KX-P7100 laser printer onto a machine
running Windows2K. The install program seems to run fine
until it says, "Now adding an icon to the Printers
folder." The screen goes black and the computer crashes
and reboots. It does the same thing if I try to install
from the CD that came with the printer, or if I use
drivers downloaded from Panasonic.

I had this printer installed once before, but I had to
reinstall Windows on this machine. I made sure all Win2K
service packs are installed and I'm using the latest
Panasonic drivers.

Any advice? I'm pulling my hair out!

Thanks in advance,

Terry

Terry--

I'm having similar problems with two Win2K machines, after installing
Service Pack 4. I read in another thread other folks having like
problems and they said apparently there is a conflict with SP4 and the
Panasonic drivers. I know of no fix at this point, sorry, save for
uninstalling SP4, and I don't know if that will necessarily fix it.
