Cannot get 'Turn Monitor Off' Power Saving to work

Hello,

I have a problem with my XP Pro SP2 system and the energy saving system. I
have recently installed a First Alert Video DVR card. This card allows me to
attach 4 cameras and watch what is going on outside of my house. However
whenever the program is running, I cannot get the monitor to go into
power-saving mode. I have checked the setting in Display and it is set to
turn off the monitor after 3 minutes (tried others as well) but when this
program runs, it is somehow disabling that feature. As soon as I stop the
program, the setting DOES work. The program that runs the card has no
options that impact viewing/display settings.

I am hoping that someone out there knows what KEY/STRING forces the system
to tell the video card/monitor to go 'off' (I do not use a screen saver, it
is set to NONE).

Even if I cannot get it to work for this program, I would really like to
create a .REG file that I could click on that would force the screen blanking
to occur (rather than waiting until the set time has passed). Thanks for all
your help!
