Cannot get past PW box.

Downloaded the latest Win update and just said "Yes". I
understand that it may refer to something like .NET and
since I'm a 'home' user, should not have accepted it. It
asked me to reboot and this I did. Now I can't get past
the password box because I've never had a password.
Please help
