What result are you getting? A #NAME? error? A wrong number?

could mean a lot of things.

Result should be -937.50 (1st month's interest on 125,000 loan @ 9% APR)

Your formula, when pasted into my worksheet, gives an answer of -937.50.

Is that really the formula you have from your worksheet?

If you're truly getting a #REF! error from the formula

=CUMIPMT(0.0075,360,125000,1,1,0)

[note: all numeric constants], then the only thing I can think of is that
CUMIPMT is used as a defined names with a definition that evaluates to #REF!

Is the formula above your *ACTUAL* formula, or is your actual formula using
cell references for some arguments but you figured you'd simplify it when
posting to the newsgroup?
