cannot find server

I have uninstalled internet explorer for the 3rd time. When I reinstall with the latest , it still does the same thing.....will not go the websites. The 2 windows say "this page cannot be displayed and at the top it says, "cannot find server....Micrcosoft Internet Explorer". No one can answer this for me....do I need to go to a computer repair. I tried to find a download of just internet Explorer 6 that was originally on here, but can not

As you can tell, I am not computer "savy"....just a Grandma trying to learn. Please, any help is so appreciated!

I'd say it's probably a connection setting issue. I'd
call your ISP and make sure you've got everything set up
correctly in the browser settings.
