Cannot Find Records

MS Office 2003
Form "Patients" based on table "Patients". When I try to find a record in
the form (ctrl F) for any field e.g., LastName, I get msg that ACCESS has
searched and cannot find; however the record is there. I do not have this
problem in other databases.

What might be causing this?

Check the recordsource of the form in design view. I just had a form that
lost its recordsource and sometimes that happens. Also click on your field
list and make sure it is still showing up.

Thanks for your response. I think my problem was that I was trying to "find"
in a subform. When I tried to find a record using fields in the main form it
works.
