"cannot Empty the Clipboard" strange message

For some reason on Excel, when I am tring to copy and paste cell/s I have
suddenly got the message "Cannot Empty the Clipboard" I don't know what this
means, when I put the clip board up in optiond it says it is empty. I've
never had this before, but now I can't copy and paste, please help!!

I'm getting this error message too, any suggestions greatfully recieved.

I've found the only way to get rid of the error is to shutdown and restart,
which is not feasible at all!

Any help appreciated
